| The title, as well as the composition is inspired by two Classic Rock tunes. Bricks Up Close combines asymmetrical meter, as seen in the middle section of Thick as a Brick by Jethro Tull and the Bossa Nova-like feel of Come a Little Bit Closer by Jay and the Americans. |
