Forever on the Altar was commissioned by Bone Therapy Trombone Choir of Nashville, TN to commence their 2015 International Trombone Week Concert at Fisk University on April 19, 2015. It was premiered by the combined Bone Therapy and Tennessee Tech University Trombone Choirs.
The title “Forever on the Altar” comes from one of the mottos of Fisk University. It is a 3 minute fanfare in triple meter, with majestic and stately music, constantly building to pyramids of tall chords. |
