| Description |
| Progressive Jazz Suite (2005) bass trombone solo consists of three movements. Movement 1 in Bb minor is titled “Good Weather”, alluding to jazz fusion riffs from the musical group Weather Report. With a tempo marking of q = 72, it has many highly syncopated rhythms of mostly eighth and sixteenth notes. Movement 2, in C minor is titled Serenade. This is a slow tempo movement, marked dotted-quarter note = 56 and in 6/8 time. Movement 3 is titled Con Salsa, written in A minor. Con Salsa, as the title suggests is a fast movement, marked half note = 80 and features melodies and motifs associated with salsa music. |
