Description |
Zamenis is the genus for the nonvenomous Black Snake. Zamenis Zarabanda, conceived for a group based in the Virginia Shenandoah Valley, where the Black Snake is often seen, is a five minute fanfare-like composition in triple meter. It features long and winding fast note melodies, primarily in the upper woodwind parts, alluding to slithering snakes. |
